In Italy we celebrate the Father’s day on March 19th, which is the Feast of St. Joseph, the patron saint of fathers. For celebrating this special occasion we want to share with you some information about our first special edition wine (a sort of father of our wines) made in partnership with a local winery of Manarola: Cantina Crovara.
The label of this wine represents a young (and also very skinny) Pavarotti. Yes, Luciano Pavarotti, the first Italian tenor to become famous all over the world for his incredible voice. You can’t miss this video of Luciano Pavarotti singing the Nessun Dorma aria (Turandot is the name of the opera).
Why we chose Pavarotti as symbol of our venue? Because we love him and we love the meaning of the “Nessun Dorma” aria (even more in this difficult period for everyone):

In the Summer of 2018 we partnered with Alessandro Crovara, a winemaker of Manarola, simple and limpid as his wine. He loves working in his vineyards even if it implies big sacrifices and hard work everyday. We see him very often and he has always a big smile on his face. His vineyards are above Manarola village and the view from there is very breathtaking! When we are there we feel like suspended between the sky and the land.
The Cantina Crovara - NESSUN DORMA SPECIAL EDITION wine is a Cinque Terre Doc (blend of Bosco, Albarola and Vermentino grapes), made following the traditional production method.
Maceration on the grape skins for 36 hours and a second fermentation (or malolactic fermentation) that makes the wine more smooth and stable in time.
Intense straw yellow with golden hues in the aspect;
pleasant aroma of ripe peach, golden apple and aromatic herbs in your nose;
smooth and round in your palate;
Perfect to pair with grilled fish or seafood risotto.
You can store it for a couple of years and it will improve its characteristics!
