A Scià means in the local dialect “the Lady” and Marzia the owner of this small winery (Azienda agricola Ascià di Monterosso al Mare) is in fact the lady of the wine. For the moment she is the only woman wine producer in Cinque Terre and her Sciacchetrà is one of her best products! The Sciacchetrà 2016 was described by a wine critic as "divine, no score appointed to not diminish the value of the wine".

How the Sciacchetrà is made: after a careful selection of the best bunches of Bosco grapes, manual de-stemming and soft pressing, slow fermentation without temperature control. Contact on the skins for at least 15 days, finishing of the fermentation in the Hungarian oak barrique, batonnage and aging for the following 12 months.
CLASSIFICATION: Cinque Terre Sciacchetrà DOC
GRAPES: Bosco (mainly), Albarola e Vermentino (small percentage)
COLOUR & BOUQUET: brilliant, amber color, fascinating aroma of dry fruits (figs and apricot), candied fruits and Mediterranean scrubs notes.
TASTE: The sip is excellent, long finish and persistent. Great freshness to balance the sweetness.
FOOD PAIRINGS: It’s a meditation wine, better with no food, to enhance its great characteristics
