The story of the winery Capannelle started in 1974 when the businessman Raffaele Rossetti moved to an ‘600 century old villa surrounded in Gaiole in Chianti, historical subzone where the Chianti Classico was born. The first label was released in 1975: it was a Table Wine named simply Capannelle. Despite its “simplicity”, this wine was able to conquer the critics and market attention, becoming a symbol of quality.
White wine making was approached in 1986 and in 1988 Capannelle released its first white wine, a Chardonnay fermented and aged in barrel.
