This winery is located in Manarola, while the vineyards are located between Manarola and Volastra (a small hamlet above Manarola village). From there the view is really breathtaking!
“Burasca” was the grandfather’s nickname of Cesare Scorza, the winemaker.
Cesare comes from a family of restaurateurs, but he decided to be a winemaker because he wanted an office at “open air”.
Burasca wine follows the old rules: maceration on the grape skins for a couple of days; the wine in the glass is intense and darker.
CLASSIFICATION: Cinque Terre DOC
GRAPES: Bosco, Albarola and Vermentino
COLOUR & BOUQUET: intense straw yellow with golden hues; nice aroma of ripe fruits and wild flowers.
TASTE: bold and consistent. Slight almond flavor on the finish.
