Nature can create great things, you have to wait only". Franco Biondi Santi described in this way the essence of Brunello Biondi Santi, 2012 Reserve, the last reserve produced by him.

Brunello wine has been invented by the family Biondi-Santi in the second half of XIX century, when Clemente decided to invest in the properties of Sangiovese Grosso for its incredible capacity of long aging. (If you like to read more about this incredible story have a look at this article on our blog).

    CLASSIFICATION: Brunello di Montalcino DOCG

    GRAPES: Sangiovese Grosso 100%

COLOUR & BOUQUET: bright ruby red in color; seductive scents of rose, underbrush, wild red fruits, leather and at the end a light note of mint.

TASTE: In the palate an explosion of flavors: marasca cherry, orange peel, pomegranate, star anise and a hint of tobacco enclosed in taut and smooth tannins. The incredible freshness of this wine keep the palate well balanced.

FOOD PAIRINGS: the wine of great occasion. Perfect to pair with meat preparations, also roast meat. Or to enjoy at the end of the meal.

    ALCOHOL: 13,5%

    YEAR: 2012

The Reserve 2012 deserves to be refined in the bottle a few more years. But you don’t have to wait too long to enjoy this pure pleasure. In the next years this wine will continue to evolve, gaining tertiary aromas as flint, goudron, carob and more intense note of tobacco.
