I Magnati identify a specific area between Manarola and Riomaggiore where are located the fields of Riccardo and Davide, two great friends. The view from there is very breathtaking: you see only the blue of the sea and the green of the vineyards. It seems to float in the sky.
The red passito wine is produced with the same method of Sciacchetrà (the grapes are dried for 1 month and then pressed. The wine remains for at least 20 months inside a small oak barrel before being bottled). The only difference is the type of grapes: no more white grapes but red ones.
CLASSIFICATION: Liguria di Levante IGT
GRAPES: Canaiolo and Sangiovese (small percentage)
COLOUR & BOUQUET: deep ruby red, impenetrable. Interesting aroma of small red fruits in alcohol (blackberry, dark cherry), caramel and licorice flavors.
TASTE: The sip is full, round and smooth. The aftertaste is quite dry.
